Time to start again!!

Well, it has been some time since I wrote here. I havn't really had the time, it has been so much work to do.
What i've been doing this summer is a play in Karlstad, Värmland, called Prima Donnor, or Leading Ladies. A play with 7 actors on stage, a lot of fun make up and three wigs! Two of the main characters in the play dressed them selfs as womens, like in the film Some Like It Hot with Marilyn Monroe.
Heres some pics on my make up!

Lena Karlsson
Sara Sommerfeldt
Ann-Sofi Nilsson
As you maybe can guess it 50's style on all of the wigs. It took place around 1958 in a small town in Värmland, so I had to go back in hair fashion like 7 years, so the blond and the brown wig is actually more late 40's in hair fashion.
On Ann-Sofi, the woman with a gray wig, played an old lady. My idea was first to apply two silicone pieces around her eyes to make her look older, but the creative team didn't like them...
I also did a redesign of Lena Karlssons wig because I didn't like the first look, so i did a big wave in the front instead.
During May, I did the make up on a short film. It was all crazy so i did on of the characters inspired by the circus during the 1920's.
Then I did some tribals on one of the actors in Johan Falk. This asctor plays Seth, the bad bad guy so he needed som triblas. A lot of the tattoos were allready designed, and we plue printed them on and colored them.
Here is just some beauty make up i've done. The girl with the very nice super blond hair is my good friend Moa. I did her make up and hair for her graudiation from high school. The other pics are from the swedish tv program Bingolotto. I did two stuarts there.
So thats all for now. Time to go to Opera på Skäret and start doing the make up there.
Take Care!!

The last official working day today. Me and Lars just did some job on two wigs and that was it.
during this week we've done the last work on some stuff for Mölnlycke Health care, casted and painted a stomach, a torso and an arm. I hope I can post some pics of that stuff when we have delivered it to the customer.
I'have also done some work on my silicone mask and hopefully I will apply it tomorrow!! I will do the application on a friend of mine and hope to do a good application but it's my first... Scary!! What I've done is that I've painted it and also punched eyebrows. Here's a pic of the piece so far, but i've done some restyling of the eyebrows and done them thinner and shorter.
Two weeks ago I did some beauty make up on two colleagues. On one of them I did a Twiggy inspired make up,
and waves in the hair.
Here's a pic of the allonger wig, finished
Also had some fun. painted my face in gold
Thats all for now!
Next work day is tomorrow, sunday at Bingolotto and on wednesday I'll be make up assistant at Johan Falk, a swedish police film.

Leading Ladies and also some naked stuff

It's been a long time since I wrote something here, have had so much stuff to do.
So whats new since last time? I have been in Karlstad for a meeting for Leading Ladies, a comedy witch take place during the 1950's in Sweden. There will be eight actors and maybe 10-15 wigs and some prosthetics. A lot of work and also a lot of fun! The next meeting is 27:th of april, so I will tell you all more after that.
I've finished my allonge wig. It took some time but im quite satisfied with the result, and I will take some photos of it and post here during this week.
This Tuesday I did commercial for Astrid Lindgrens värld. It was a whole day of fimling in a forest far away from Gothenburg. It was raining, had some troubl†e with the hair on Ronja Rövardotter because of the moist air.
Thats all for now and I'll write some more during next week!
Take care!

Mr Muffin!

Hi everyone!
I've had some really busy weeks now, so thats why I haven't written anything here. What I've done is a childrens play at Hagateatern here in Gothenburg. As I wrote in my previous post here, the play is about a Guinea Pig and a seven year old girl. So I made a silicone nose for the Guinea Pig and flocked it with 2 and 12mm long flock. It was so cute in him but the director thought different so I had to remove it. Instead of the nose I ventilated whiskers for him in buffalo hair.
Other stuff I've done is started to style a rococo wig and also an allonge. I'll post pics of that later on when Im finished with them.
Yesterday My and I did a life cast of each other. We did them in alginate and plaster bandage, and then filled the life casts with melted clay. THATS DANGEROUS!!! Pic of the clay positives is posted here.
Thats all for now folks!
Take Care!!

Well I know, im the worst blogger ever! Here's some pics from my projects. I've done a 50's style on a wig, false teeth, and some other pics from different projects that im working on. Enjoy!
Hope you all enjoyed the pics! My next big project is a children play at Hagateatern called Adjö Herr Muffin. It's a play about a guinea pig and a girl. The Guinea Pig dies and I don't know more than that. I'll have a meeting with the director tomorrow and hopefully i'll get some info.
Take Care!

Whatever Love Means

Whatever Love Means is a play im working on right now. Im doing the make up and hair design, and started working on it three weeks ago. The first thought was that all make up should be in just black and white, but now its more human and natural make up. Im also doing a beauty make up on one of the actors. So here's some pics from the first rehearsal with clothes and make up.
Enjoy and have a great day!

London and IMATS!

Well, now im home after a great time in London! It's been a sooooo nice journey, all lovely peopel i've meet there booth students and some fucking great make up artists from England, Netherlands, France, Denmark and Norway! Meet a couple of lovely girls from Norway who were make up artists and also a make up artist from harry Potter, had a great time with them the last night at the exhibition.

So what did I do there? I bought some make up products, four cream eye shadow, a make up case, four make up brushes and a pair of false lashes. Then I got some products for free from Dermalogica, the Make Up Studio (air brush color) and Smooth On (dragon skin, a silicone).
Here som pics from the weekend! Enjoy!

Academy Awards

Nu är det offentligt vilka filmer som är nominerade till Oscarsgalan 2011. Dessa filmer är nominerade.
  • “Alice in Wonderland”
  • “Barney’s Version”
  • “The Fighter”
  • “Jonah Hex”
  • “True Grit”
  • “The Way Back”
  • “The Wolfman”
